Christhu Jyothi Higher Secondary School had its birth in the 'turmeric city' Erode as the First Matriculation School in the area ! It had its humble birth at Thirunagar colony, Erode with a set of 16 students. In the year 1976 the school has come to stay at Brahmana Periya Agraharam, Erode. By 1994 it has grown from 'Kinder Garten' to a 'Higher Secondary School' At present the strength is inflated to 3200 wards, 129 staff to toil for them and qualitative too! This great institution is run by the nuns of Franciscan Clarist Congregation (F.C.C.) a Kerala foundation with the motto 'serve in love'. Universal brotherhood and joyful service to humanity has a special place in our system of education. Every effort is made to create in students the qualities of justice, peace, and religious tolerance and a special concern for the poor and oppressed.
